Efficiency Vermont, Vermont's award-winning energy efficiency utility, enlisted Spring Hill Solutions to assess the market for its services on Vermont's 23 campuses. We're helping Efficiency Vermont respond to the questions generated by this process - from working to increase student participation in campus energy initiatives to coordinating training workshops for university administration and facility staff.

For 25 years, Gardener's Supply has upheld a commitment to community development, environmental stewardship and the wellbeing of its employees. This employee-owned business donates 8% of its pre-tax profits to local and national non-profit organizations that promote gardening and protecting the environment. The company has partnered with Spring Hill Solutions to measure and reduce its operational carbon emissions and to conduct a carbon life-cycle analysis of its catalog production and distribution process.

Main Street Landing, an environmentally and socially conscious property redevelopment company, operates from a platform of ecological integrity, economic security, individual empowerment, and social well-being. Spring Hill Solutions is assisting MSL in inventorying and reducing the carbon emissions from its buildings and operations, while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Otter Creek Brewing[back to top]
This Vermont-based, family-owned brewer of organic and conventional craft-brewed beers is working with Spring Hill Solutions to determine the feasibility of using biomass fuel to meet substantial portion of it energy needs. Having authored a successful grant proposal to fund the research, SHS is coordinating the study process and will work to secure the additional funding needed to make the biomass heating system a reality for the brewery.

VBC chose Spring Hill Solutions to measure and understand its carbon profile with a focus on brand enhancement, cost reductions, and increased operational efficiency and productivity.

As a consultant to the Vermont Department of Public Service, Spring Hill Solutions recently drafted a feasibility analysis for the Vermont 25x'25 Initiative - the goal of which is to provide at least 25% of Vermont's energy needs from renewable sources by the year 2025. The study explores and evaluates the benefits and barriers associated with developing renewable energy production from Vermont's farms, forests, and other in-state resources.

The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation - a non-profit organization with approximately 140 employees - has a mission to reduce the economic, social, and environmental costs of energy consumption through the promotion of cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Spring Hill Solutions is helping VEIC to achieve its recently announced "BHAG" or "Big Hairy Audacious Goal" - to offset their personal and organizational carbon emissions by 10,000-fold by the year 2027.

When the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund was awarded a significant federal grant to focus on accelerating the growth of Vermont's biodiesel industry, Spring Hill Solutions came on board to assess and coordinate specific project prospects, manage federal reporting and compliance issues, and lend our renewable fuels technical and sector expertise to the process.
